Seven respiratory therapy students from American Career College-Ontario got a chance to interact with working professionals and industry leaders at the Hoag Hospital Annual Respiratory Care Conference this September.
Accompanied by ACC-Ontario RT program director Andrei Livanu, the students visited the Hoag Conference Center in Newport Beach to attend the annual event.
The conference offered patient care perspectives useful in today’s dynamic environment of health care delivery. Upon completion of the one-day event, participants were expected be able to review the treatment, management and diagnostic tests in the evaluation of bronchiectasis; discuss ventilator management of the premature infant; and review and analyze the value of simulation training and clinical performance.
"The students also participated in discussions by answering questions asked by the presenters," Livanu said. "They made us proud."
