Students from various programs at American Career College-Los Angeles teamed up with high schoolers this June to give them the inside scoop on what being an ACC student is all about.
Twenty-three students from the UCLA High School Connection learned about all of the programs offered at ACC-Los Angeles — from vocational nursing to dental assisting. The high schoolers got the VIP treatment on campus as they were able to view the Los Angeles campus, as well as the various classrooms designed for each program.
“The event was a great way to get the soon-to-be college students ready for the next step in their academic journey,” ACC-LA student services coordinator Ruthy Rodriguez said.
Students were able to tour the different labs at ACC-LA, assist in demonstrations and learn about each program’s function in the healthcare system. UCLAHSC students were prepared with the info they needed to decide what career path they would like to pursue at ACC-LA.
