American Career College-Ontario students volunteered at the California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) conference in Rancho Mirage this October.
“The students were able to show off their skills while explaining the role of a respiratory therapist in the medical field,” ACC-Ontario respiratory therapy clinical education director Shannon Rousselo said.
Students also had the chance to sit in on a philanthropy lecture by ACC Chief Student Experience Officer Susan Pailet at the CAPPS 34th annual conference.
ACC-Ontario medical assistant instructor Melissa Chacon said attending the CAPPS conference helped her MA students gain experience and confidence.
"It was a great experience," Chacon said. "We already have been asked to return next year!"
