Volunteers from American Career College-Ontario stepped up to the plate for a good cause this summer by helping fundraise at Angel Stadium.
Hosted by CVS, the five pharmacy technician students, along with their program director Eileen Johnson, handed out giveaways and sold raffle tickets, which helped raise about $6,500 for Easterseals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential support to individuals with disabilities.
“There is nothing more beautiful than helping others,” one of the volunteering students, Andrea L. said.
Other students involved were Kelley A., Jadira H., Kimberly G., and Andrea F.
“They also got tickets to stay and see the game that night,” program director Johnson said. “They were so helpful in making the event a success!”
