American Career College graduates celebrated their commencement at the largest ceremony to date with more than 1,100 graduates and nearly 10,000 family and friends!
Graduates from all five American Career College locations in Southern California attended the celebration on Saturday, Aug. 22 at Citizen’s Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif.
One of our own dental assistant graduates — Amanda Menouch — sang the national anthem for her fellow grads. Her sister is also an ACC graduate and her brother currently is enrolled at ACC.
Proud mom Raquel Emnace spoke about how meaningful it was to see her daughter graduate with a degree she is passionate about and excited for her future. “I was hired by the company I did my externship with,” shared Raquel’s daughter Alexandra Ranili, a dental assisting graduate from ACC-Long Beach. “I loved it so much and accepted the position.”
Leticia Rojas, an optical technician graduate from ACC-Ontario, sported graduation cords representing her journey through ACC's GED program, honor roll achievement and perfect attendance. She is working as an optical technician at Walmart in Pomona and very excited for her new career. “My boys are all here to watch me graduate and I am very excited for the next step.”
Aundrae Reynolds, who studied massage therapy at ACC-Long Beach, was planning to celebrate his "double graduation" with his friends and family after the ceremony.
"I really didn’t graduate from high school,” Reynolds said. “Doing a whole lot of stuff and things like that. My grandmother passed away before I could (get my GED and graduate). This right here means a lot to me. I’m very proud of myself and my family is proud of me. We’re just enjoying the day."
