American Career College pharmacy technician students were going for gold Tuesday during the Pharmacy Olympics at the Ontario campus.
To celebrate National Pharmacy Technician Day, ACC student teams competed in a trio of events: typing speed, a trade and generic medication quiz and a hands-on medication counting race.
"It's a great way to make new friends on campus and build camaraderie in the program," ACC-Ontario Pharmacy Technician Program Director Eileen Johnson said. "Students compete in basic pharmacy practiced skills and it reminds the students about their great career choice in this promising field. Plus, it's a lot of fun."
