Students, staff and faculty of American Career College laced up their sneakers and hit the road for the seventh annual Long Beach Walk for Kids this April.

More than a dozen members of the ACC and HSE Academy family showed up early at Shoreline Park on April 22 to take part in the Walk for Kids, a fun, family-friendly 5K walk designed to raise funds and awareness for the services and programs provided by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California.

The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House hoped to raise $275,000 from this year's event through sponsorships from committed partners and Walk pledges raised by participants and volunteers. The Walk for Kids fundraiser is one of the largest of the year and helps cover a significant portion of the orgainzation's $1.5 million annual operating budget.
