Susan Condie, PhD, RN, CNS, PHN, ACNS-BC, CNE, NE-BC, CHEP, has been named program director for American Career College-Orange County’s vocational nursing program. Previously, Dr. Condie served as associate dean of nursing academics and as an associate professor at West Coast University-Orange County since 2013.
"ACC is honored to have Susan Condie’s expertise and leadership at the helm of our flagship vocational nursing program," Chief Operating Officer Timothy Lee said. “She’s a great addition to ACC’s team.”
Condie additionally serves as a chief nursing officer for HomeHero, the largest independent home care provider in California. She was also selected by the state of California’s Department of Consumer Affairs as a nursing education consultant.
"It’s a great privilege to teach the next generation of nurses from American Career College. I look forward to eventually seeing them take the next step from student to becoming one of my peers,” Condie said.
Condie graduated from the Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing in Pennsylvania and earned a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. She went on to receive a master’s in nursing, with an emphasis in Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist; a Post Master’s in Nursing Education; and a PhD in Nursing Science and Research from Widener University. Dr. Condie also received a Post Master’s in Nursing Administration from Villanova University. She is a current doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) student at Walden University and expects to earn a second doctoral degree in May 2017.
