How has the pandemic affected you? How are you doing?

I managed to stay afloat, keeping in mind that everyone is doing their best. I’m currently doing very well and staying home as much as possible to be safe.

What brought you to American Career College?

Making a difference in people lives.

What do you think are the most important attributes of a good instructor?

The ability to develop professional relationships with the students. Being patient, caring, and kind. Having a helping attitude, respect. Engage students in learning. Great listening skills, supportive especially with our current situation. Enthusiasm.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The successful outcomes of our students completing the program. It’s the best reward to know they are happy with the journey and career.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Be kind to people; treat people as you would like to be treated. Never stop learning.

What is your favorite thing about ACC?

My favorite thing about ACC is the teamwork we have with all the staff members. The environment is awesome and friendly.

What is your teaching philosophy?

Being organized and consistent.

What advice would you give to current healthcare students?

Never be afraid to ask questions or for help. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

What are your hobbies/interests (other than making ACC great)?

One of my hobbies is gardening. I enjoy going on walks and working out at the gym.

What advice do you have for students who are taking online or live stream classes for the first time?

I have students log onto Blackboard to explore and answer any questions prior to our class start. I recommend to do the new student training to be familiar with the online platform.
